Video Production Policies

The Three Phases of Production

It is our policy, once a video order is placed, to pre-produce the video by meeting with you ONCE before hand. This meeting will determine the direction of the video and the budget of the video (for special projects).

Following the pre-production phase will be the shoot or production phase. During this phase clients will be asked to meet with the videographer, producer, and/or director at the pre-determinded destination*.

Once the video is shot, the post-production phase will comense. During this phase please give our staff one full week for product turn-around. We do find that product turn-around is much faster than this but we don't want to mislead if it is not for some reason.

Once the video is complete and ready for the first round of critiques, it will be hosted on your video portfolio at Hometown Productions.tv. You will be provided a personalized link to access your video portfolio. You will have one week to respond with your critques to the video in which we will make the final edits accordingly to your needs and wishes. If you do not respond within a week it will be assumed that the video is complete and you are satisfied**.

Marketing your video

Upon final completion of the video, Hometown Productions.tv, LLC will then provide you with the URL link to email the video and will also provided the video file for your webmaster to embed the video into your personal or business web site. If you are a web site client of Hometown Productions.tv we will automatically embed the video into your web site for you. Hometown Productions.tv, LLC will upload the video to three sites of your choice. Sites like Realtor.com, Youtube.com, and Google Videos. Every upload after that will access a $5/upload charge to your invoice. We will not assist you further in the distribution of your video unless it is otherwise agreed upon to do so***.

*If you have to re-schedule please give our staff at least 24 hours notice. Unless it is an emergency, a $25 penalty charge will be tacked on to your invoice.

**If you in fact are not satisified and want to move forward with your editorial critiques, our staff will bill you as a sole contractor and the rates are determined by them at a cap of $100/hr****.

***If it is agreed upon before the finalization of the video that the client wishes for us to duplicate a dvd, assist in the marketing of the video, etc. then that can be worked out for monetary compensation.

****Some of our staff, especially for special high-budget projects can and will go over this limit but not unless approved by Kevin Westhuis or Kyle Barbour.
