PRE-“SHOOT” PREPARATION
This Mini-documentary piece that we are going to direct, “shoot” and edit for you is an unbelievable opportunity for you to market yourself and to begin develop or enhance your “Brand”.
Your Listing, Neighborhood or City Tour will be set apart from the competition with the use of motion pictures, story telling, and sounds to elicit emotion. You will be the star and your subject will be showcased through creative editing techniques that will “WOW” the viewer.
The live motion picture mini-documentary will be showcased to the World with-in just a few days of completion of the “shoot”. This is not a one time ad, radio, TV or Newspaper spot… This is a piece you can share with customer lists, potential buyers, potential sellers, and direct people to where it will be posted on Realtor.com, your company and personal web-site, YouTube and anywhere else you want to post your marketing piece. This is all done through the power of Motion pictures on-line.
Things to think about prior to the “shoot”:
Know your subject: Be able to talk passionately and off the “cuff” about your subject. Including specifics like type of construction, year built, square footage, yard size, years current owner has lived in the home, unique features and other specifics on your MLS data sheet you think would be important to a potential buyer.
Story Telling: Tell fun, interesting, intriguing stories about the subject. Tell them like you are telling your best friend. Keep the tone conversational. People like good stories.
EXAMPLE: I remember when the seller told me about the time his daughter got engaged right here at this dining room table. The seller said they thought they were just going to have pizza, and lone behold the now son-in-law got on one knee right here and popped the question. I can imagine there will be all kinds of new great memories for the next folks who own this home.
Know the neighborhood: Video and motion pictures allow you to put this home in context with the neighborhood. Buyers do want to know about the neighborhood and we can show it and you can talk about it.
Be conversational: Draw the viewer and listener in by being warm and conversational. But certainly don’t be afraid to let your personality show. It is your brand. But think about what draws you in when people talk. Pace, tone, ect…
Let the director direct: No one is going to stifle your personality and creativity but let the producer and director direct the “shots” and “interviews”. Hometown Productions have pros who know how to make you and your subject shine. Trust them.
Have Fun: This is your chance to be a “STAR” and enhance and develop your brand. Have fun with this and be yourself. All personalities are unique and we never know who will be the next William Hung. (he was an American idol flop who became and international star)
